Hello, my name is Ethan
I fell in love with guitar over five years ago when I picked one up for the first time in high school. I have since continued to refine my skills as a musician and also built an appreciation for great playing guitars.

does my guitar need a restring?
The strings sound flat, lack brightness, or feel 'dead.'
Visible dark spots, corrosion, or a rough texture on the strings.
Strings won’t stay in tune or keep slipping out of pitch.
Strings feel stiff, hard to bend, or don’t vibrate freely.
Fraying, kinks, or indentations where the strings meet the frets.
does my guitar need a setup?
If the strings feel too high off the fretboard, making it harder to press down, your action may need adjustment. If they’re too low and buzzing, that’s another sign of a needed setup.
If you hear buzzing when playing certain notes, your neck relief, string height, or frets might need attention.
If your guitar sounds in tune when played open but goes out of tune higher up the neck, the intonation is off and needs adjustment.
If you use a tremolo (whammy) bar and it’s stiff, unstable, or making strange noises, it might need rebalancing.
If the neck looks uneven when viewed from the side, it may need a truss rod adjustment or further repair.
